Landry/French Construction Joins Local Businesses and Organizations Honoring Biddeford Veterans on National Wreaths Across America Day
BIDDEFORD, Maine (November 12, 2020) ─ The campaign to place nearly 3,000 wreaths on the graves of Biddeford’s veterans this December has received a major boost from Scarborough-based commercial contractor Landry/French Construction. Brown Dog Carriers & Logistics, which volunteered to organize Biddeford’s first-ever Wreaths Across America event this year, is leading the planning, fundraising, and volunteer recruitment for the event.
The donation from Landry/French Construction covers nearly 20% of the entire campaign goal, and will provide for 500 of the hand-crafted, Maine-made balsam wreaths that volunteers will place on the graves of veterans in five Biddeford cemeteries on National Wreaths Across America Day, Saturday, December 19. All funds raised go directly to Wreaths Across America to provide the wreaths.

To ensure the safety of all who attend and participate, Wreaths Across America and local organizers are actively monitoring the requirements set forth by public health officials regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, including mask mandates and outdoor gathering limits, and will be making all necessary modifications to ceremony plans and laying of veteran wreaths.
