A Helping Paw - Supporting Our Community
Brown Dog Carriers has created “A Helping Paw,”
This is our way of supporting and giving back to our community and neighbors. We are committing to provide our time, talent and financial resources to make a difference in the lives of those around us. Contact Graig at 207-294-2075 or Darrell at 207-756-1180 for more information on how we might help your organization.
Throughout the year, Brown Dog Carriers supports a number of nonprofits and veteran service organizations doing good in the community. Below are some of those organizations.
Wreaths Across America
Each December, Wreaths Across America coordinates a nationwide event to remember our veterans. Wreath-laying ceremonies are held at Arlington National Cemetery as well as over 2000 locations across the United States. The team here at Brown Dog is proud to support this cause and volunteered to help carry thousands of wreaths to honor the fallen soldiers.

Biddeford Maine - school hero lunch day
“School Lunch Hero Day”. The Biddeford School Department worked hard last year to make sure students have food through this hard time. Brown Dog Carriers and Nadeau’s Deli teamed up to provide lunch to the food staff, bus drivers, bus aids and volunteers of the Biddeford School Department. Thank you for all your great work keeping the students fed!
“Thank you all for the delivery of positive energy and influence to the community through this time of uncertainty. We all need to adopt this positive energy and deliver it instead of letting the negative impact us all. Seriously, thank you..you have all made a difference within the community. You all rock!” - Rachael L.
This is amazing! Thank you to Graig and Brown Dog carriers and Nadea’s Deli!! I see those lunch buses come around everyday and and they serve so many kids! - Allison C.
maine veteran’s homes - scarborough maine
“I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the delivery of the Italians to Maine Veterans' Home. Having a meal available as staff leaves at the end of their shift is such a kind gesture; eliminates having to make dinner at the end of a busy day. The C unit staff adored your grandfather and the memory of him made it that much more special. Thank you for thinking of our team during this very difficult time.” - Patty N.
touch a truck campaign
Each summer Brown Dog Carriers spends time with kids to teach them about trucks and the trucking industry.
TRUCKING 4 KIDS CONVOY
Each September, Brown Dog Carriers participates in the Maine Professional Driver’s Association “Trucking 4 Kids Convoy”. This is an annual competition for safety and driving excellence. The event is capped with a parade of trucks through Southern Maine towns. Last year over 50 participants helped to raise $10,000 to benefit Camp Sunshine.
